All of the above acronyms refer to teaching English to students whose first language is not English. There are many online and educational locations that offer certifications in teaching English abroad and at home to those who desire to learn English. In 2007, Janet Godinez received her TEFL certification and began to offer English as a Second Language classes through her home church to the hispanic population. These lessons have been compiled and published in a book: TESL of the Americas, Book 1 English Basics. The purpose  of this book is to aid missionaries, pastors and laymen in teaching basic concepts of English to non-English speaking people in the United States and around the world through complete Bible centered courseware. Teaching English can be the key that will open closed countries, stubborn hearts and locked doors.

The lessons in this book are designed for those that have little or no knowledge of English and may be used by missionaries and churches everywhere. The lessons include short and long vowel sounds, basic parts of speech, weather, and time. All student handouts are reproducible and include: lesson handouts, vocabulary handouts, student worksheets and Bible memory worksheets.

Currently, a second book is being written to include additional lessons on parts of speech, simple past, present and future tenses, conjugations, and verbs of exception.

This book contains twenty lessons, with corresponding vocabulary sheets, worksheets and Bible memory worksheets. All material in this book is 100% reproducible.
